The first round in the P365 line is one of the most revolutionary guns on the market. In today's market, we have guns like the Springfield Hellcat and the Smith & Wesson Shield Plus, both of which came after SIG's P365 was released back in 2018. The 10 + 1 power is hand assembled and the overall length is less than six inches. The P365 weighs less than 18oz making it an easy gun to carry all day even on a hot summer day. I bought my first P365 in February 2018 and it has worked well even after about 4,000 rounds. Mine is a very early model with a SIGLite night sight instead of the tritium night sight that comes with all current models.

Back in 2018, the P365 really made waves in the shooting world with its powerful short gun. Even after several years, P365 is still a popular choice with many business models and different magazine options. Shortly after the initial release of the P365, SIG decided to drop the long 12-round magazine. This new extended magazine helped heavy-handed shooters get every shot. The longer grip length made it easier to shoot the range comfortably and also gave you more rounds to shoot when aiming the gun. The 12-round extended magazine will eventually lead to a new SIG system to lower and extend the P365.

About 18 months after the release of the original P365, we were introduced to the P365 XL in June of 2019. This updated version still uses the original P365 engine but has several different features than the first device. The main difference from the original is the larger mount which holds 12 round gear.
