Along with an extensive history and the most complete photo documentation of the restoration, the Bulldog comes with a full set of service and repair manuals and two copies of the owner's manual. Information is available from 2000. The Scottish Aviation Bulldog is a British two-seat side-by-side (with optional third seat) training aircraft designed by Beagle Aircraft as the B .125 Bulldogs.
The Bulldog prototype flew on 19 May 1969 at Shoreham Airport. The first order for the type is for 78 units from the Swedish Air Board. Before any production aircraft were made, the Beagle Aircraft business was terminated and the rights to manufacture the aircraft were taken over by Scottish Aviation (Bulldog) Limited in on a Swedish order. All subsequent aircraft were built at Prestwick Airport by Scottish Aviation and later by British Aerospace.
The first 58 aircraft (as SK 61A and SK 61B) were delivered to the Swedish Air Force in 1971. Another twenty aircraft were delivered to the Swedish Armed Forces in 1972 as FPL 61C, although transferred to the Air Force in 1989. SK 61C. By 2001, all Swedish aircraft were withdrawn from military service. 26 units were purchased in 2004 by the Hungarian AVIA-Rt.
The largest customer was the Royal Air Force, which placed an order for 130 Bulldogs in 1972, entering service under the designation Bulldog T.1 in 1975. The Royal Air Force used Force is a basic training course, especially for regular airliners. the University Air Squadrons and later Air Experience Flights to provide flight training. The aircraft was used by the Royal Navy for Elementary Flying Training (EFT) at RAF Topcliffe.

The RAF sold its remaining Bulldog trainers at a low price in 2001 to become general aviation aircraft. They were replaced by Grob Tutor.
One model was built by Beagle Aircraft (G-AXEH), one by Scottish Aviation; now in the collection of the National Museum of Flight in East Fortune, East Lothian.

The Royal Jordanian Air Force Bulldog is currently being operated by the British Disabled Flying Association at the 2008 Farnborough Airshow. The Scottish Flying Bulldog originated from the Beagle Aircraft Company's B.125. Unfortunately, before any production aircraft were built, the Beagle Aircraft business was terminated and the rights to manufacture the aircraft went to Scottish Aviation.

G-AXIG was the first Bulldog built by Scottish Aviation at Prestwick. Here he is seen flying the colors of the Swedish Air Force.
The original B.125 Bulldog was developed by Beagle Aircraft, Shorehamas as a more powerful military training model of the Beagle B.121 Pup. It was completely sleek, with a full-transparent sliding roof and enlarged wings like a Beagle Pup. .It is equipped with a Lycoming 200 hp engine driving a two-blade variable-pitch propeller.
Unfortunately, in the same year, Beagle Aircraft Limited failed after withdrawing the government's financial support and despite a full order book.
The rights for the type were transferred to Scottish Aviation, the first to fly from Beagle (G-AXIG) on 14 February 1971, and this aircraft was first registered by Beagle as the second B.125.

Before being destroyed, Beagle Aircraft received an order from Sweden and it was fulfilled by Scottish Aviation Limited, then continued production in Prestwick.
Both the first aircraft (G-AXEH and G-AXIG) were used as special displays by Scottish Aviation, and one (G-AXIG) was painted in the Swedish Air Force colors of '005'. This aircraft, first flown on 14 February 1971, was later sold on the public market and operated for many years at Compton Abbas Airport, Wiltshire.
Scottish AviationBulldog was very successful in the export market, selling 78 aircraft to the Swedish Air Force as well as to many countries, especially in Africa. In the UK, the RAF purchased 130 aircraft for use as the Scottish Flying Bulldog T Mk 1 Basic Trainer.
One aircraft (G-BDOG) was fitted with landing gear and displayed at the 1976 Farnborough Air Show under the name 'Bullfinch'. However, this version did not go into production and is currently registered as the Bulldog 200.

In addition to Sweden, Botswana, Ghana, Hong Kong, Jordan, Kenya, Lebanon, Malaysia and Nigeria were sold.
When the breed was removed from RAF Basic Training, University Air Squadron and Air Experienceroles in 2001, 'civilized' Bulldogs became known for owning private clubs and flying. It is a good aircraft for new pilots because the type offers good air conditioning, good handling and good visibility from the plane.
As of October 2018, approximately 55 models have appeared on the British Civil Aircraft Register, some of which are in former RAF service or are being sold abroad.
